Our Extended Search Commitment
Whale sharks are wild marine animals living freely in their natural environment. Although Saleh Bay offers one of the highest whale shark sighting rates in Indonesia, encounters can never be guaranteed.
To maximize your chances of a successful encounter,
no whale shark search is conducted on Day 1. Guests are encouraged to rest after the journey so they are well prepared for the early morning excursion.
The whale shark search begins on
Day 2.
If Whale Sharks Are Not Found
In the unlikely event that whale sharks are not encountered on Day 2, we will extend the search to
Day 3 at
no additional cost to our guests.
As part of this commitment,
Whale Shark Indonesia will cover all additional expenses, including:
- One extra night's accommodation
- Extended boat charter
- Boat crew and guide services
- Operational costs for the additional search day
Our goal is to provide every guest with the best possible opportunity to experience swimming with whale sharks while maintaining responsible and respectful wildlife tourism.
Please Note: Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. Whale sharks are free-ranging animals, and their presence depends entirely on natural environmental conditions. While our experienced team monitors their movements daily to maximize the likelihood of encounters, we cannot control nature. We appreciate your understanding and are committed to making your journey safe, enjoyable, and memorable regardless of wildlife activity.
